Gerald Wiegert is an American engineer and entrepreneur recognized as the founder of two companies, Vector Motors and Aquajet. 
 
In 1971, when Wiegert had finished college, he created a home design studio that was called Vehicle Design Force hand in hand with Lee Brown with whom he would create a car called Vector.

After several years and various high-performance sports car designs, the company changed its name to Vector Aeromotive Corporation and began production of the Vector W8
